Mr. Terry started selling cars in the Lynchburg area in 1985 as Star Imports-a Volkswagen and Subaru dealer at our current location on Candlers Mountain Road. He worked for many years, establishing a reputation for selling only the best. After many years of selling new Volkswagen, Subaru, and high-end used cars, Mr. Terry and his general manager, Mark Dalton, decided there was a middle ground market. Between the higher mileage, Terry Clearance Center, and low mileage certified and high-end vehicles at Terry Volkswagen Subaru, there was a middle ground with late-model, off-lease, and program cars such as Ford Fusions, Nissan Altima, and Ford trucks. We opened our doors in the summer of 2017 with just 20 vehicles and an anxious sales staff.
Initially, we offered lease turn-ins and program cars for customers looking for a quality used car without a new car price tag. We now carry a wide variety of inventory and have developed our TAO Custom line of lifted trucks and Jeeps. From those early days of limited stock to our current supply of over one hundred used cars, commitment to quality has remained the same. Every vehicle on our lot is handpicked and carefully inspected to ensure only the best make it out front. If a car receives a failing grade, we wholesale it, often at a loss, to maintain the quality and reputation Mr. Terry has worked hard to establish.
Our mission is to provide Lynchburg and the surrounding areas with a great selection of vehicles that may be higher in mileage or have a few cosmetic blemishes at a great value.
